Living Room Records Presents a reissue “remastered” concert CD;
Jazz a la carte, served up on May 12, 2006 was to be ordered from a menu of a hundred jazz standards curated by Brad and Larry. Enter the live audience of about 120 who called the tunes (and ultimately the set list). By request, song by song the set was called from their menus, except for a Chef's special near the mid point in the program. Adding to the concert, a 00:20 P.S. from Larry which closes out his remastered version of the original disc, reissued here.
As the (bonus item) liner notes indicate, this was another concert featuring Charlie Lane's fabulous 9' Steinway Concert Grand Piano, at Fort Andross in Brunswick Maine. According to Brad, 'After playing a single note and holding it, Larry looked at me with a grin and said “One note on this piano sounds better than any chord I ever played”.'
We are including all the graphics from Larry's version of the CD as well as a photo of my original concert disc. The paper sleeve for the CD has bent corners from the take out food box it came in. Enjoy the nights music again here.
